Occam's Razor
Occam's Razor/Law of parsimony
"The simpler answer is usually the correct answer..."

Is science merely the engagement of man's intellectual faculties with what is apparent?
Are the things apparent only that which are physical and natural?
Can I ask that which I do not know?
Can I know that which I have not inquired about?
Am I satisfied with the outcomes of my inquiry,
Whether affirmative or unfavorable,
Because they meet my expectations?
Are the "if-then" of hypotheses, expressions of hope, and faith?
Does the scientific method lead to the simpler answer because it neglects the unknown and unobservable?
Or does it arrive at the simplistic answer because it assesses only the 'observable'?
Is the scientific method more complex in investigation because it is rendered sufficient in testing all that is observable?
Is it complicated because it disregards simple truths?
If that which is deemed observable is also governed by one's perception of the physically unseen (ex: gravity),
Is scientific inquiry, then, an exercise in faith?
Is it a reliable system if it disregards the very faith element that propels it?
Does it truly provide objectivity and absolute truths?
Are we pleased with whatever level of infallibility?
What do we lay at the altar of this god?
"because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead,
so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God,
nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Professing to be wise, they became fools"
- Romans 1:19-22
"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." (Jer 33:3)
Is it too simple to attribute a Creator to created things?
Is it simple because of what one knows and can measure?
Is it simple because of what one does not know and can not measure?
Is it simple because of what one does not know and can measure?
Is it simple because of what one does know and can not measure?
Or is it too complicated to attribute a Creator to created things?
Is it complicated because of what one knows and can measure?
Is it complicated because of what does not know and can not measure?
Is it complicated because of what one does not know and can measure?
Is it complicated because of what one knows and can not measure?
"The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. (Psalm 145:18)
I know the amount of wisdom I have grown into and the extent of knowledge I have. I know what I do not know and I also don't know all that I do not know. BUT I know the eternal One in whom the depths of the known and unknown consist.
Because one cannot probe without humility about what they do not know -
"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him;
And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts."
- Isaiah 55:7-9
And if you will -
"The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way.
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies."
- Psalms 25:9-10
Because neither can one approach a matter without having cause to believe the existence of the matter -
"But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." - Hebrews 11:6
Because what we want to find is what we diligently pursue -
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:13
The crown of knowledge and wisdom is this -
"Thus says the Lord:
Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me,
That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these, I delight,” says the Lord.
-Jeremiah 9:23-24
Faith is the method of all our inquiries, and it is not merely belief in something. It is primarily, the extent to which that initial belief encourages one to pursue a matter, to execute obeisance, and to become a disciple of that matter. In that regard, we are all disciples, and discipline ourselves to what we have yielded to. What have you made your Lord?
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." - Proverbs 9:10.
