The Child of God Doesn't Sin

Heart clenched. Racing.

Flying darts of rage and words.

The expected response?

One of two: give in or get out.

The answer is obvious.

"What does the Lord say?

The Child of God Doesn't Sin,

For God's seed remains in Him"

Right! Right! What to do then?

Meditate on these:

"A soft answer turneth away wrath:

But grievous words stir up anger."

Breathe in, breathe out.

Look! A thought:

"You can show them not to mess with you!"

Tsk tsk tsk. Meditate instead on this:

"Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."

Right! Right! What to do then?

"Wait! Remember what they said?"

Heart clenches even tighter in anger

Meditate:

"Be angry and do not sin"

Man's wrath produces not the righteousness of God"

Whew! Let it go, Tiffany.

Ah! Consider this. Wouldn't that be convenient?"

"No! No! That is vile and wicked and not worth mentioning

Meditate on these instead:

"Casting down every vain imagination..."

"Love works no ill towards its neighbor"

"Love is the fulfillment of the law.

"Father, please help me!", I pray.

God is faithful. He will always give the way of escape

And you must take it

Lord, what do you say?

Pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you"

Pray for them which persecute you"

"Lord, please forgive them"

"Lord, please fill me up with your love towards this person"

"Lord, please forgive me for those thoughts."

"Lord, I let it go"

Peace in the midst of the storm

Anger diffuses. The heart relaxes.

Thank you, Lord.

God is faithful

Your faith produces perseverance

How did I do Father?

You are my child

The child of God does not sin

For God's seed remains in them and they cannot sin.
